From Suffering to Happiness

How can suffering lead to happiness?

Happiness is only elusive because you’re looking for it in the future instead of the present.

I have recently come to realise that my suffering was not a punishment or karmic payback for things unknown. It was a blessing for my awakening.

In a path chosen by me before I came to this Earth. I chose the difficult family, the difficult friends, the difficult partners, the difficult situations throughout life.

Th good news? It’s coming to an end. Why? Because I understand now. And I know that we don’t have to go through it for as long as we might think we have to. The quicker we learn the lessons and manage them so that we react in a better and better way each time, the quicker we come out of the toughest of the tough.

What have I learnt that I can share with others?

This all happens for your awakening, and at the time it’s needed to. If that time is now for you, you’ll want to keep reading as I provide you with the tools you need to navigate this time in your life.

How do we deal with suffering?

We need to stop treating it as a bad thing, as this makes it appear worse than it is, and you add to the pain you feel.

Resistance to suffering is your ego. Do not give power to your ego. Remember that suffering is a natural process of life. Try to stop resisting, accept with love that this is a natural process of life, let it go, and then it can no longer be defined as suffering. Transmute this energy into what will benefit you. One of the most powerful things to do is drop into your heart space and feel the energy of love pulsating there. This will keep you grounded and take you back to the present moment.

What is suffering?

Do you attribute your suffering to another person?

Why do we suffer?

Suffering is the natural process of life. Being born in human form means we are meant to feel the entirety of our human emotions. If we don’t suffer, we don’t ask the questions.

Imagine a monotonic life where nothing out of the ordinary happens. It won’t make us think or ask questions. Suffering allows us to develop insight.

The reincarnating soul is our ‘karmic being’ as opposed to our human personality that is but its mask. The soul, called Jivatman in Sanskrit, carries our karmic propensities called samskaras from one body to another.

Our karma, we could say, is the DNA of our reincarnating soul. Just as the body has its particular genetic code, the reincarnating soul has its particular ‘karmic code’. The soul’s karmic code is based upon the life patterns it has created, the habits, tendencies, influences and desires it has set in motion over many births. These karmic tendencies or samskaras like seeds ripen in the soil of our lives, taking root and sprouting according to circumstances. Our soul’s energy is filtered through our karmic potentials, which create the pattern of our lives down to a subconscious and instinctual level.

For the evolution of our species and for our own growth in consciousness, we must consider both the genetic and karmic codes. We cannot understand ourselves through genetics alone, which is only the code of the body; we must also consider the karmic code, the code of the mind and heart. Note how two children in the same family can share the same genetic pattern, education and environment and yet can have very different lives, characters and spiritual interests. This is because of their differing karmic codes.

At birth, to some extent we already have stored behavioural traits, attitudes, fears, illnesses and beliefs from our parents, ancestors, religions and memories. These in herited traits can cause imbalances that affect our lives. A person for example may have had a paralyzing fear of fire from a very young age or another individual could have numerous unexplained symptoms that will not resolve. In these cases, inherited memory could be the trigger. Modern science has only decoded a very small portion of our genetic code (ex: 5 inches of a six foot strand), and it is thought that this information is likely stored somewhere along the strand. Regard less of location, Reiki can effectively work to balance this information. In these cases, the memories are not your “past life” experiences. Rather, they are cellular memories and traits that have been passed on from previous generations (not necessarily within your blood line). Like your eye color, and instinctual traits that keep you alive you also have inherent beliefs and tendencies imprinted on your genetic code. For the most part, the genetic code is not fixed and can be modified.

What I’ve learnt?

The tough situations pull feelings out of you that are waiting to be felt.

Everyone comes into your life for a reason. Every situation happens for a reason. You come into each other’s lives for a reason, and that is for a healing opportunity. It could be that you’re doing healing on a more intense scale, as I was, healing your bloodline.

Suffering is universal.

How can you work towards this healing?

Recognise that you need to start the process.

Read a lot and watch a lot of videos on spirituality and motivation

See someone to help you work through issues.

Meditate everyday.

Do what makes your heart sing. Something small or big every single day.

Meditation for suffering.

Sending healing to those causing you suffering.

Remember, the sun comes out right after the rain.

Remember, it takes one person to heal and everyone starts healing. You’ll notice the subtlities around you when you start your healing.
